Hi, my name is Carolina Fontella
have always had a fascination with how the body moves and how people can adapt their body to different situations. That’s why I first started studying for a Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports Science where I had years of experience working with different people, ages and bodies. With the intention to expand my expertise I have also graduated in Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy where I had plenty of experience teaching PE at School.
I have a diverse background from working with Dance, since I was a Professional Dancer, Teacher and Choreographer. So I’m really passionate about how the body moves in order to achieve the best results possible.
After my years of experience in Physical Education/dancing I felt that I needed to pursue something more in the health area and being able to help people with pain. After studying and emerging into the Osteopathy field, I felt that I really “found myself”. Being able to work with people and being intrigued by the complexity of the human body was always going to be influential to my career path.
I enjoy applying evidence-informed practice alongside traditional osteopathic concepts. I use my expertise in hands-on treatment with various ongoing health issues and will introduce customised exercise and movement techniques to reinforce and prolong the patient’s improvements.
Previously, I have worked in Brazil, Portugal and England. And now I am back in the Netherlands because I absolutely love this country. I have a personal interest in Holistic Therapies and I am also exploring more Visceral techniques in Osteopathy, Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki.
